So lately, I have been listening to a lot of podcasts on how to market yourself. I lot of them say just be you. That can be hard when you don't even know yourself. Who is Taylor Pierce? I know who I am and how I feel about things. However, writing and talking about myself doesn't come naturally. So how do I even start to come up with something to tell people?
Well, as a photographer, I thought I could look at my pictures. I need to think of the things I like to shoot and contemplate about the feelings I get from my own photos.
Now it all seems easier.
I am someone who likes happy people. I want to feel comfortable around others and vice versa. I like to be myself around people and I want to photograph people he are showing me who they really are.
I'm also a nature lover. When I think of taking portraits, I think of balancing the beauty of the world and person in the photograph. I know that isn't practical for every single picture I take but it's still my goal.
I also want to help people feel confident. I know this sounds cliché but it has true meaning to me. I have struggled with acne the majority of my life. And I mean bad acne. I'm still breaking out in my later 20's and
it's hard for me to feel confident. I don't even like to have my pictures taken. Maybe that's part of the reason I love photography. Standing behind the lens gives me the opportunity to see the beauty in everyone. I want to share that with everyone. Let's not only capture your outer appearance but the person who is inside as well. If you struggle with confidence, I get it. I just want you to know that I wont judge you.
I love sarcasm and joking around with people. I may not do that with everyone but if you're that type of person. THEN YOU ARE MY PEOPLE.
I also sometimes like kids. I work with them everyday and I'm going to school to be an elementary teacher. They're kinda cool.
I'm also big on honesty. I love coconut. I drink coffee daily. I have two husky mixes. I am a mother to a boy who was born prematurely. I have been in the same relationship for 12 years but I am only 26. Blue is my favorite color. Not your typical blue but the color of the sky on a warm day. I often wonder what its like to stand on top of a mountain. I also love TV shows. Need a recommendation? I can probably give you 20.
And lastly, I just care about people. I want to make others happy and photography helps me with that.
