Portrait Session at Walter Hill Dam in Tennessee
So I had a client that lives in Murfreesboro and she was looking for a photographer to photograph her son to celebrate his current age. She wanted something candid and something that would document him at age 2. Let me tell ya, this boy is sweet as can be. We went on little adventures together to go find Chase Ryder from Paw Patrol. He was determined to find them. We never did spot them but he put up a good fight.
I'm really surprised by how much I love using the Walter Hill Dam as a location for a portrait session near Murfreesboro. We originally wanted to shoot at Cannonsburgh Village but they were closed on that day. This was the day after the 4th of July by the way. I knew she wanted a location with water, trees and a field and boy did this deliver. I'm definitely keeping this location in mind for the future. I was a little nervous of how it would currently look. I haven't been there in years but I knew it had pretty views when it is clean. There was some trash but nothing photoshop cant fix.
On a side note, did you know that a truck parks there and offers kayak rentals? How neat is that?!
I took the time and made a small gallery of some of the images from the child portrait session. Let me know what you think. Maybe we can book a session there, too!
