Having a vision is key for a custom maternity session. Whether that be a vision I create when a client says do your thing or a masterpiece we work together on.
Now when I say work together, I don't mean you have to pick out the backdrops and such. I go by how you want to see yourself. I use the textiles that spark your interest and the colors that you love. Part of hiring a tailored artist is getting the perfect creation that you can't create on your own. You hire me as the artist and for an easy experience.
There are many things that go into that- creativity, vision, props, gear and photoshop. Every one of them requires a lot of experience. Yes, even the gear and props. It takes time to learn to use that stuff!
This week, the before and after highlights the magic of photoshop.
That backdrop went perfectly with that dress and the colors she chose. We had to use them together. now normally, I will use a larger backdrop. It's easier to pay more for a larger size than it is to photoshop the image. Luckily, I am a whiz when it comes to editing and I can use my wizardly wand, aka my Wacom pen, to do some magic. Doesn't that make you want to get pregnant just so you can have that same picture of yourself? *laughing face* Seriously, though. This mama is gorgeous.
